About Me
I am a native of Jackson, Mississippi, I relocated to Atlanta, Georgia in 2014. I graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in Wildlife & Fisheries, Wildlife Science. Not long after, it became clear that I had another calling—hair.
From a young age I always enjoyed styling hair, but I never realized just how deeply I would fall in love with the beauty industry. What I cherish most is the moment I turn my client toward the mirror and see the smile on their face. Knowing that I’ve brightened someone’s day and helped them feel beautiful and confident is one of the most rewarding feelings. I began my hairstyling career through an apprenticeship under Denishia Horton of The Color Den Hair Studio. In 2016, I earned my Master Cosmetology License and currently work at The Color Den Hair Studio alongside an incredible salon family.
I specialize in maintaining healthy natural hair. This career has given me a sense of freedom, a creative outlet, and truly feels like a home away from home.
When I’m not at the salon, I enjoy spending time with family, dancing and giving back to my community through my nonprofit organization, W.A.R. The Peace Project.
Lastly, I want to leave you with one of my favorite quotes:
“The only courage you need is the courage to live the life you want.” -Oprah Winfrey
